Congratulations! You were chosen to participate in the games! But before you begin, you need to know the rules of the Middle School Survival Games!

Rule 1: you are not in one single class like in elementary school. You will be moving to different classrooms every period.

Rule 2: you will have different teachers who will be new to you and will not know you well. Try to find out their teaching styles and what they expect from their students.

Rule 3: you will receive your locker combination on a slip of paper. Try to memorize it and practice opening and closing your locker correctly.

Rule 4: Make sure you have all your supplies. You will put your supplies in your locker and take them to classes.

Rule 5: You will receive your schedule which will have the room numbers of your classes and the order you go to them. Memorizing this schedule is important, and try not to be late to class!

Rule 6: know the layout of your school, because between classes, you will go to your locker and get supplies for your next few classes, like binders and folders.

Rule 7: practice changing quickly into your gym clothes and school clothes before school starts. do not forget to bring your clothes and sneakers to gym every day.

Rule 8: your planner is your new best friend in middle school! you have to keep track of homework due dates, upcoming tests and assignments, and electives and club schedules.

Rule 9: keep track of grades. Do not let them slip. You can seek more help from parents, guidance counselors, and teachers in school.

Rule 10: pay attention. It is vital for you to listen to teachers’ lessons and instructions.

Rule 11: last but not least, remember the first year is always the roughest, but after you have had experience, you will become a pro and soar through the other grades without a problem! Don’t forget to lend a helping hand to incoming students!
